Wow Douglas- you got me tearing up here! What a beautiful post! Miss Hannah is blessed to have you and Kim as her parents!

I wanted to comment on the remark you made about your primary physician. My parents brought me from doctor to doctor while I was growing up for the headaches and small TIAs (didn't know what they were then). No one could ever figure out what was wrong. One doctor told my parents to bring me to a shrink. I was 6! Thank God my parents didn't listen and pressed on. I wasn't diagnosed until last year at age 34 but at least my parents believed me and tried. The technology and knowledge just wasn't there in the 70's but it's there now and these doctors that just shrug people off is really starting to annoy me! Yes, there is something wrong when a child has frequent headaches so bad that she is vomiting! Stress my foot! Anyway, I applaud you guys for pressing on and fighting to help your daughter! Oh, and you are not a sissy! LOL I find your love for your daughter refreshing and touching. I will bet you anything that DJ, Mister tough military man with tattoos is going to be sobbing through your post! Am I right DJ?

I understand your frustration at waiting so long for the angiogram. Hopefully after that things will move faster. It was slow going for me too. The "good" thing about waiting though is that you can. I mean the people that get rushed in faster are the ones that have already had a stroke or other bad things so at least you caught this reasonably early. You know what you are dealing with now and there is a bright future ahead.

I saw Hannah's pictures and she is a beautiful little girl! I know that a dream of DJ's in the future is to have Moya Moya conventions and I hope that this happens so that I can meet, in person, wonderful people like you all. Also, if you don't already know, DJ has another website which is HUGE. At www.clusterheadaches.com they have a big true family and they have yearly fun and informative conventions and YES T-shirts! I think that is a great idea and will see what I can do. Maybe we can have any profits go to research on Moya Moya at Stanford or Boston.

Thank you again for that wonderful post. It touched me deeply! I will keep Hannah in my prayers!

Lisa
