So glad you're doing well after your surgery. Dr. Steinberg may be a great surgeon and may have perfected the surgery (I'm really not familiar with him), but the surgery was originated in Japan over 20 years ago. My daughter, Lizabeth (then known as Beth), was the first to have the surgery in the U.S. in July, 1981. It was done by Dr. Theodore Eller at Evanston Hosp. which is a wonderful teaching hospital affiliated with Northwestern University in Chicago. I know he has done many surgeries since on Moyamoya patients.
