My friend Elaine was diagnosed last Aug with Mayo Mayo; Univesity of Michigan had her scheduled for surgery in Nov. 2002 but they put it off for no other reason than to see if she got better on her own. But one year later they still haven't done it Now she is scheduled for surgery tomorrow Weds. Aud. 6 in California beacause of this web site.
Dr Stienberg says she has permanent damage & the temporal artery has deteriated enough it is unusable. She is getting her angiogram as I type; to see what artery they can use.
Kevin I suggest you get a second opinion soon.
