John, thank you for sharing the story. It is actually very uplifting. I was diagnosed with MM-type angiogram on right side after just three TIA episodes during one particular day 2 years ago. I'm on aspirin, and just living perfectly normal life and patiently hoping MM would not develope further. I'm male 39.

My understanding is that in some (lucky) cases MM will not proceed drastically.

This doesn't mean that your father wouldn't need a by-pass, though.
