Hi!
I do know of a couple of children who were treated at the Toronto Children's Hospital. Can't remember the doctor's name, but I can try to find out. If nothing else, maybe you can touch base with them and see if they can help, or at least refer you to someone who specializes more in adults? |

The neurologist & neurosurgeon we deal with are great, but they seem to think everything is fine & dandy! Everything I've heard & read about this disease is that is progressive. Our doctors are basically saying if it isn't broke, don't fix it. They said come back in 1 year for a check up. If anything should happen, come on back to Toronto and we will go from there. I don't know about anyone else, but that scares me!

Hi canadian Girl,
Please do not accept the wait and see attiitude. My sister's doctors had that mentality a few years back and it is all wrong. Please get a second, thrid, or fourth opinion. Janice |

Are they saying that POST Op or PRE OP? The reason I am asking is because my docs attitude is that (if it ain't broke, don't fix it), but I've already had surgery. And to tell you the truth I think it is the best attitude to have POST OP.
I just call him if anything is out of the ordinary. in my opinion... Just my [smiley=twocents.gif] Sara |

Sara,
This is their attitude post op. He had surgery in September and in February, we found out that the vein had closed up. Nothing new has happened (thank God), but it is just worrying in case something will happen. |
