I will be in Stanford from the 15th of June to approx the 8th of July.  My surgeries are scheduled for the 22nd and the 29th.  I was wondering if anyone else was going to be out there during that time.

Great.  I have read some of your post and am glad Holly did well in her surgeries.  It makes you feel better when you read about so many people who have had the surgery and had no problems.  I take it that this is a follow up.  My wife is a little apprehinsive about the whole thing and not really looking forward to being out there (we are in NC) by herself and I am trying to find people for her to talk with.  My second surgery is scheduled on the 29th.  How long will you be there?

we are just there on the 28th for a follow up appointment, how bout lunch?

My daughter Tara is (as I type) upstairs recovering from her second MM surgery.  We live w/in 20 miles of Stanford and will make every effort to come visit.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

David I will be having my surgery done on the 23rd of June and if you like I would like to meet.  I will be staying there from june 21st to perhaps july 1st if everything goes to plan.   Brent

That would be great.  My first surgery isn't until the 22nd.  I don't have anything scheduled (yet) on the 17th and 18th so may do a little site seeing.

              If you have time go to San Fransisco to Fishermans warf its less than an hour about 45 mins. Its neat if you never been there, there is all kinds of shops and resturants and tons of seals that are neat to watch climbing all over each other on big wooden pallets floating in the water. Lombard street the crookedest street in the world or country or something. Ride the trollies or some say cable cars. Just some ideas.

This is so heartwarming.
I never realized how important it is to meet other mmers until my husband Jack and I went to Stanford recently for a follow up. I had a stroke in 00, surgery in 01 with Steinberg, then another stroke in 01. Now I'm more or less ok (funny how the standards change!).
We arranged to meet with Hillary, Holly and Linda while we were there. Also Connie and Jarred. There's a photo of us all on the photo page. Until then  I hadn't  realized how solitary and alone Jack and I were as we went along this strange mm path. Hillary was wonderful about sharing her family with us, and her knowledge about mm, life in general and her love. I think we immediatly bonded as an mm family. Connie joined us at Stanford for a heartfelt meeting, and has added her spirit and love. Imagine, three mmers in one place!!! I am thankful for that meeting, for these wonderful people, and for the oppertunity to receive and give support.
Being with eachother is the greatest gift we can give.

That should be good.  That is the day before my second surgery and right now I dont have anything scheduled.

That is just so awesome that you guys are all getting together and there are some MMer's getting together as I type it really is amazing, this is truly is a new family we have formed..........absolutely amazing!
