Post by jaredsis2 on Aug 4th, 2004 at 9:17pm
it feels like i was just writing about the first surgery and here i am again already 3 1/2 months later jared has recovered very well from the first surgery but i am just as scared as i was then also from reading the postings it seems like sometimes people who didnt have any trouble the first time have problems the second maybe its just my imagination today we went for an mri right after they administered the profusion jared vomited it was acually quite scary since he was basically straped flat on his back i was in the room with him and immediatly pulled him out and sat him up i dont even know as of now if they where able to see every thing they needed to i will call tomorrow i also have to tell jared tomorrow that he needs to go back for the other side i just wanted to let him enjoy the summer somewhat without this on his mind but i can know longer wait the surgery is august 13th it just so happens that it is fri the 13th but i decided its a lucky day and i didnt want to wait until the end of the month
please keep jared in your prayers god bless

Donna:  Iwill  definitely keep Jared in my prayers.  Friday the 13th is a lucky day for me-it's my oldest son, Austin's birthday.  It was a Friday too when he was born 5 years ago-time does fly by!!  I'll be thinking of you and Jared when we're celebrating, and I pray that all will go well  God bless,  Tricia  [smiley=hug.gif]

Jared's second surgery is 10 days before my six yr old Cara's second surgery (Aug 23rd)...I have the same fears as you, too.  Especially since Cara had a mild stroke on her unoperated side when she had the surgery on her right side...as her right side isn't quite right.  I worry that the trauma on the leftside will affect her right side this time.  I feel even though this is a rare disorder...there are more people with it than we realize, right...especially on this website.... :) I THANK DJ for this !!!  Will keep Jared in my prayers...as will for all the others who are continuing to recover, and those who are still waiting for their surgery to begin...
...tight hugs,  cara'smom ::) ::) ::) ::)
