I spent this afternoon making arrangements for Jaime to be evaluated by a neuro-psychologist.  We have to begin the process of special education assistance for her - the "walls came tumbling down" for her this year, academically.  It's just all too much now and she needs support and assistance from the school district - sooo, first step is a neuro-psych.  Anyway, I logged on to re-read all the responses of support I received from everyone and I just felt like saying "Hello" and letting you all know how much you help.  You guys are THE BEST!!

I hope your appointment today went OK.   How frustrating it must be for a girl at the top of her class to now have special ed requirements.   You know, though, I used to teach middle school, and I was shocked to find out some of the kids who required special education.   Some of them were my smartest students, they just had challenges in certain areas and needed extra attention.  It really gave me a whole new perspective on what "special education" means.

I hope the neuro-psychologist was a good doctor, and evaluated your daughter fairly so that she'll get whatever level of assistance she needs.
