Just wanted to make sure that everyone had the opportunity to plan and join us in Las Vegas for the August get-together we have planned.  It's going to be a lot of fun and give others an opportunity to meet each other face-to-face.  It could also give us a way to brainstorm on ideas of how we as a team and group can help spread the word about moyamoya and educate doctors about the disease.

I am hoping I can make it with Tyler, even if I just take a road trip and spend the day. I would love to meet everyone.

I don´t think Louise and I are going to make it this time but we really  want to so we haven´t counted it out just yet.  Louise doesn´t know that much English but I know kids are able to communicate in other ways and across languages. I´ll think about it jst a little bit longer before deciding. But I do count on lots and lots of pictures on the board so we´ll take part anyway even though the Atlantic and cross the USA maybe is to big of a travel for us to make! ;)

Wow!!  The get together looks great!!  Vegas is a long way from NH, but I'm going to try like heck to make it happen!!

Here's my question - since my girls' surgeries, I really don't travel without them - plus, the one thing I've really lacked here is local fellow MM survivors, so I'd really like the whole family to come!!  So, is there a set schedule during the weekend - I'm just wondering if I need to make arrangements during any times that they couldn't participate in. (my kids are 10, 10 and will then be 9 - and let's just say, ACTIVE!! ::))

Are there any other families planning to come with children?

Your kids are more than welcome to come.  We do not have any set activities as of yet, but we will certainly make sure to let you know when we do.  I should come up with some things within the next month.  We will definitely plan some activities for the children and adults, too.  

I guess I'm really waiting to plan some activities once I know who is coming and the kind of activities everyone would like to do.

I am hoping that my family will be able to make this trip and I have three girls 13, 12, and 10.  I have to get my finances straight because I have to go back to Stanford in July so I am kinda waiting to see how my funds are before I can commit, but if I get to go our girls could hang out together if you don't mind?  I thinking we will be hanging out at the pool mostly because I am not much of a gambler (I STINK!!)  I will keep you up to date on how things are looking :)

I sure would like to make it ther too. But I am not sure if my financies would permit at this time. My husband probably couldn't come, but maybe I could get a girl friend to come with me!  I won't be bringing any kids(that I know of so far), but I LOVE to be around kids! My grandkids are here now for the weekend. They are worried about me not wanting to do much and being somewhat depressed.  But maybe my brother would come with me also! It would be a great thing for him. But that depends on his health and how it goes. I will figure it out and let you all know. But I will be driving, so will have to figure it out. I have never been in a big city, so it is kinda scary to even think about it! But my friend and my brother have, so they can help me. MJS

Unfortunatley I probably cannot make the trip, Mandy and I were dying for this to happen for months since you were talking about it back months ago. We are moving to Ga. the last week in July as school starts there Aug. 4th (EARLY). We will try but I think things will be so hectic and busy and my husband starting into a new buisness we will be busy and trying to get organized. We are so disappointed we can't go if there is anyway we can, we will make it....we have been known to do things last minute at the spur of the moment. Hope you all have fun, I know you will. Hi! This really sounds great!! My 2nd surgery is tomorrow 5-9-05 but I should be OK by then. I'll talk to my sister (Lisa twin b) and we'll see if we can make it!!

I am planning on coming with my sister.  I hope it is alright even though we haven't been active within the message board.  I just received an email about this event and thought it would be fun to meet people like me :) :)

Of course it's alright - the more the merrier!  Hopefully DJ's email encourages people, whether or not they've been active on the board, to come.  Looking forward to meeting you Melly.  And, to everyone else who posted - I can't wait to meet you, too!

Hi, guys.

Well, I did the finances thing, and it doesn't look like we'll be able to make it after all.  I'd love to go, I think it would really help my girls to meet others with MM - we live in a very small town in NH, and the only others we've met have been people at the hospital who've flown in from out of state.  But, the trip down would cost way more than I thought.  

Maybe the one year reunion of this shin dig could be on the east coast? :D  I'll be thinking of you all, and we'll be with you in spirit!!  Have a ball!!
