I was at my surgeons today and when talking about my seizures he told me the main causes of seizures are watching tv in a dark room or too much tv, floresent lights, and coffee/soda stuff like thouse. As anyone else been told this or have you been told other reasons for having seizures?

No Mar Im not. Basically my surgeon wants me to throw my life out the window. This is exactly why I am going to go get a second opinion.

Just look at this reference, especially the part about the “importance of a correct evaluation”. This one is easy to understand, there are many, many more, for you to research, and in all those references, although it does say the cause cannot always be identified, I still gotta tell ya, nowhere does it say soda, or watching too much TV may be the cause. I think you’re right about getting a second opinion.
