Title: Update on Itsme
Post by gotchlorine on Jul 18th, 2005 at 10:36pm
Hey everyone,

Just a quick update on Irene (itsme).  She's back home in southern California following her June 21st surgery at Stanford.  She's doing a good amount of walking and sounds wonderful . . . just wanted her MM family to know that she hasn't dropped off the face of the earth!  Currently her only access to the internet is through work, and she's not back there yet.  Irene informed me last week that she's ordered a computer, so watch out -  I suspect she'll be back online sooner rather than later!

Anyway, she sends everyone her best, and she's still hoping to make it out to Las Vegas.  More when I hear from her again.

Guess that's it for now . . . hugs to everyone!

Jill

Hello MM family,

Please forgive me for not getting back to all of you sooner. Today is exactly ONE MONTH after my right by-pass, and what more can I ask for with this new computer and finally a DSL HOOK UP AT HOME. (Welcome to the 20th century IRENE!)  I can finally comunicate with all of you and be here for others.

Any way, ONE MONTH has been a mile stone. I can hear now in my right ear although it gets weird sometimes, but it's no big deal. So for those who do experience a loss of hearing PLEASE DO NOT FEAR it took ONE MONTH
but I got it back, just like the doctors said. ( I had DOUBTS but they knew what they were talking about!)

The only inconvience for me is the "throbbing" of the scar but the pain is bearable. I do get tired faster but I know that my stamina will slowly but surely come back 110%. I get an occassional dizzy spell, especially when I get up first thing in the morning, but other than that
"life is beautiful!"  I will be going back on August 1st for my first follow up to Stanford.

I also realized this was not "about me" but all about  YOU  who supports people like me. I could not have pulled this surgery off alone, so all of you out there
THANK YOU AGAIN!  Great Job!

Now, talking about LV, I'm on my way tomorrow to celebrate my one month for the weekend. I know I'll be going again in August but try "twisting my arm" hahaah

I will check my email when I get back and I do need to change my email address when I get back this Sunday. HMMMM, maybe another ONE MONTH absence before I can figure out  how to do this? Hope not!

Hope to chat with you soon. Lots of love and I will be
calling you soon Jill, Cotadad, Missy.

Hugs and kisses to all,
itsme

Hey Irene!  So glad that you can hear again - and that you have a new computer!  Considering you work at a toy company, think of it as your new toy!  Just don't break it!  ;)  I'll try to call you after you return from LV.  I'm so glad you are doing great!

Talk to you soon,
Trina
