Title: Throbbing sensation??? Post by itsme on Mar 6th, 2006 at 6:14pm
Hello friends,
Itsme again....any way I had my surgery going on 7 months ago now. Has any one felt that the incision has a throbbng sensation? UNCOMFORTABLE at times and the right side (where I had my surgery) really is starting to feel indented???? Sometimes the top of my head (I think where the plate is) feels yukky too. Thanks for your heads up? Best, itsme |

Hi, Irene:
I can not answer you question, but hope you feel better and the uncomfortable feeling can go away by itself. Tingxin |

My incision was throbbing too after surgery, but I think it stopped about 3-4 months after surgery. As for the yucky part, well...I guess the oozing and that was pretty yucky.

Hi
I had my surgeries 3 months ago. I occasionally have the throbbing sensation. (No idea what causes it though??) I actually discovered yesterday, that I also have a large indentation where I had my right surgery. I had a scheduled visit to my neurologist today - he is not worried. Feels pretty freaky though ! Don't whether this helps, but I feel better knowing someone else has similar ! Helene |

Hello itsme,
yes, I have the same symptoms. I had surgery on Left side 8 months ago. I have throbbing on that side. But, not all the time. I thought it was due to the plates and srews I have in there. Also have an indent on that side. Maybe it is post op healing symptoms for some of us. Another question I'll ask when I see my neuro. at my next appt. Lena :) |

Hi,
It has been a year after my surgery and every once and a while I get the throbbing. It is your blood pressure. My divet goes in when I am normal and I sometines feel like my braine is trying to pop out of my head when my pressure is up. I know it is not my acutal brain but the mussle that they have laid ontop of my brain. I have a huge soft spot anout the size of a 50 cent peice and it has not shrank in a year I don't believe it will. My only sugestion is to keep your blood pressure regulated during exersie or anything eles that causes to increase. I also try no to sleep on that side of my head. Good luck Becky |
