My child has recently been diagnosed with mm and around the same time she got crohn's/ulcerative colitis. Anyone else with similar problems?  They keep running lupus tests to see if it is vasculitis but they come back negative.

Also Dr. Scott said there is correlation between hasimoto's hypothyroidism and mm.  Anyone with that?

  My daughter has Hypothyroid but I believe that Hasimoto's hypothyroid is different.She's been taking meds for it since she was 2 yrs old.

My daughter, Li, was dx with hasimoto's hypothyroidism in the end of 2002 after she was on interferon for around 1 and half year. Then in the end of 2003, she was dx with the moyamoya. I always think these two diseases are triggered by interferon. But no one can tell me for sure. Also it was about half year when she was dx with moyamoya, her immune system looked totally went to crazy. She could have hives without specific reason, specific time. Her lip could swell so bad in about half hour, then went away by itself. Many times, hives, lip swelling, body numbness happens together. We visited many type of doctors, couldn't get any explaination.

Forturnately after stopping interferon, her immune system calmed down and the hasimoto's hypothyroidism antibody also dropped a lot even it is still abnormal.

I guess other auto immune disorder may also cause moyamoya. Again no one knows for sure at least right now.
