Title: Happy Birthday Annica! Post by gotchlorine on Apr 13th, 2006 at 11:18pm
Well, better late than never! Once again, I'm very late in the day (not to mention that it's already tomorrow for you over in Sweden!), but I was thinking of you and hoping that your special day was going well.
Haven't seen you around much lately. Would love an update on how you, and especially Louise, are doing! Please post when you can, o.k.? Happy Birthday from California! [smiley=hug.gif], Jill |

Hi!
Long time no seen! You would think that Louise and I would be forgotten about since I havenīt been posting on the board in a long time (but I have been reading every now and then) but I was happy to see that some of you still remember: That really warmed my heart! Thank you! I will give you an update on Louise: She turned 10 years old in Feb and is now almost 3― years post surgery on both sides. Louise is a sweet, healthy, curious, happy and beautiful girl. She is doing really well in school and has lots of friends. Her major interests are music and dancing and she also practices volleyboll and swimming. When tired or infected she still has some symtoms from her moyamoya like headache, especially over the eyes and sometimes a tingling sensation in her hands or feet. It stops rather quickly when having a drink or taking a painkiller if itīs bad so she is really one of the " lucky moyamoyavictims" that leads an almost normal life. We have no contact with her doctors and itīs always up to me to ask for follow-ups. As a mother of a moyamoyachild I feel very lonely in this country, still no experience and very few cases. I am still to concerned about her health to take her on a long flight to America but when she gets a little older and perhaps learns more English we will try to join you all on a yearly gettogether. Thank you again for posting! Take care, Annica Love |
