Hi Hummer,
I have surgery 4 weeks ago, and yes I do have pain behind my eyes from inside, I take headache pills for it, a week ago I miss hos bed so much I end up in hos for 3 days [smiley=rolleyes2.gif] [smiley=rolleyes2.gif] [smiley=rolleyes2.gif] [smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=laugh.gif] because of headache and blur vision, my eyes was hurtful also, my neurologist think that the migraine headache deal, I have a check up on May 17, will ask surgeon then. I will let you know what he say. If it painful and bother you much you should call your neurologist to see what going on, better be safe, and let me know what you find out too. Take care. Kieu |

Hi there,
Firstly don't be too scared to ask questions - you have to be pro active in your cause against MM and if that means bombarding your doc with questions then so be it - it is your life you are asking questions for and the docs don't know what you are experiencing if you don't. If your doc cannot or will not answer your concerns then find one who will!! There is no point in being greatful to your doctor and not wanting to complain when it is ultimately your life at stake here. If you can't get the answers you need - email the specialists on this site like Dr. Steinberg and I am sure they will be only too happy to put your mind at ease. Your doctor may not like putting you on medication but ultimately it is not his decision, if you are in pain and discomfort - he is supposed to be there for you - not advocate his ideas on you. There is medication that can be taken safely with MM and if it makes your life easier then isn't it the better option? With some people it takes time to settle down after surgery and this may just be something that you are experiencing while the new vessels are establishing themselves. I personally never experienced that after surgery but everyone is different. Once again - ASK QUESTIONS -even if you think it is silly, ASK QUESTIONS, you need to communicate EXACTLY what you are feeling and experiencing so that your doctor knows and can take appropriate action! This is the best respone I have heard to this question. Never accept what a Dr. says if you know he is wrong! When my daughter was a toddler she had siezures and all the specilists agreed it was pallied syncobal breath holding spells. I was afraid she would die from a grand Mal siezure. They put her on phenobarbitol and the siezures stopped. Since then we have never let her cry or get hurt because this was the trigger for the siezures. She has had headaches with limb numbness for years! I thought it was strange but not serious. My sisters diagonosis led me to realize my daughter might have it. I was like the poster I did all I could do and accepted their answers and my child suffered a stroke! Speak up and Insist you must when it comes to this Disease!!!!

Hi Cheryl,
I went to eyes's doctor yesterday because I concern about my vision, I also mention to him about painful behind the eyes, he do all the test and took X-ray of my eyes, end up I have visual damage and yes I can drive and I don't have to wear glasses because glasses is will not help. I'm not scare you, difference case is difference thing but make sure you have your check it out. Kieu |
