    I'm not positive if it's the first but it's the first that I've heard of.  Moyamoya surgery (I believe EDAS type) was performed at JFK Medical center in Edison N.J.   [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

    The surgeon is Dr. Jonathan Brissman who came to JFK from Mass. General in Boston.  From what I've learned, he's published several articles on cerebral vascular disease with Dr. Chris Ogilvy also from Mass General and a known Moyamoya expert.
    When I find out more about Dr. Brissman, I'll post the info on our site.

That is great news for those of living in NJ. After reading your post, I just spent the past 15 minutes on JFk's neurolgy web site.....pretty interesting, but no mention of MM.
