Title: vitals or things u don't always think about Post by ladybugz on Jul 8th, 2006 at 1:38am
Does anyone have high heart rate and low blood pressure? Just curious to know if it's related to MM b/c usually they go hand in hand, as in both would be high or low. After any activity mine seem to still be far spread...

Hi, there. [smiley=wave.gif]
Both of my daughters have MM, and both had surgery, but only one had a stroke. That one does have problems with her heart rate and pressure - but both tend to be high. Our neurologist has the school nurse checking them every day. Sometimes if she's high they have her rest and it helps. Sometimes there seems to be no rhyme or reason - like, she's been sitting on the couch for an hour watching a movie, and her heart rate is sky high! She's not yet at the point where they're treating it with meds - just still keeping an eye on it. I'm not sure if that helped you, just wanted you to know that you're not alone! not trying to scare you just letting you know what i was taught let me think about this...................a rising heart rate with a low blood pressure is indicating of bleeding somewhere, or hypo thermia ................. a rising bp with a low heart rate is a indicator of a clogged vessel or shock....It would help to know what your spo2 is during this symptoms.

I met with my primary physician on Friday to get a release to return to work. Now my BP is 160/100. He put on a low grade BP medication. I just had my BP checked @ the Y after water aerobics. My BP 167/95, pulse 84. I have a call into Dr. Steinberg's office and my Dr. If it's not one thing, it's another.
