Hi all,

Lydia has now had  her 1st surgery on the left side and it went really well. As Great Ormond Street Hospital is a childrens hospital, the staff were so good with her. mr Thompson the surgoen was great. He was so please with her recovery. When she came round from surgery, first thing she said was,Im starving!!!

Lydia had the surgery at 8.30 am, Monday and was back up by 12. The next day she took a little dip and felt quite unwell ans sick but by day after much better. We came home Thusday.

In 6 weeks we go back to have the right side done, and then just wait and see if it has worked. About 6 months after that she will have a MRI to have a look at the blood vessels. Fingers crossed !!!!

Lydia says Hi , Im not posting much on site at moment as I am renovating my new house where my Broadband connection is and am not living there at mo, so not always checking my emails at present. But I just wanted to give you Lydia s surgery update and say that it all went really really well   ;;D

I'm so pleased to hear that Lydia is doing well!  Please give her a big hug for me!  Whew!  One more to go - I'll be thinking of Lydia and you as Lydia goes through recovery and her second surgery.

It must be so hard for a parent to go through the illness of their child.

I thank God it is I with mm and not one of my kids.

Hi Louise!!

Very happy to hear that everything is ok with Lydia. You have been through something hard and fram now on it will only get better!. Give our love to Lydia and stay strong for her!!
