Title: Air planes and continuation of high altitude..
Post by ladybugz on Jul 25th, 2006 at 4:37pm
I'm 2 months post-surgery, does anyone know if it okay to be in airplanes?  I get headaches all the time as it is.  I'd love to go visit people, but flying seems like the only option. and I'm wondering how it may affect me.  Thank u ...

Hi There,
My neurosurgeon told me that it was fine to fly as long as the plane is pressurised which covers your normal mode of flying!! but to be cautious about flying in planes that weren't pressurised like your little cessnas etc..

Hello Ladybugz :)

Modern airliners are pressurized at about 35000 feet to a cabin pressure of about 6000 feet above sea level.

Almost like living in Denver!

Hope that helps!
