Title: Cold and pain
Post by ladybugz on Oct 31st, 2006 at 3:09am
It's now very cold weather.  Do people's head's hurt at the site of the scar? My head hurts really bad.  I need to find something to keep my head warm, but it doesn't seem that things fit right. Either too tight or not warm enough.  My head feels like it is splitting open because of the freezing weather.
How do other people feel in different weather conditions?
The blood vessels vasoconstrict, I'm guessing, and the must cause some pain.. I don't know.

I just saw this post(sorry I didn't see it when it was first posted....) I haven't seen that Kathleen has any pain in her head when it's cold but, when it gets even a little cooler the circulation in her effected hand and foot is VERY poor. They will get dark purple all the time.I haven't gotten any answer from any of her many specialists except that it's from the strokes just keep it warm.We try but they still get purple, it kind of freaks people out sometimes. We actually took her to the ER once because I really couldn't get the color back in her toes one day.In the ER they diagnosed it as Reynoids syndrome.Sorry I couldn't help with your exactl question but I thought it was worth mentioning what our experience is in the cold.I will try to be more aware of her head staying warm though now because she really doesn't complain when she has pain unless it's really bad.

Thanks

I never used to be the type of person to get cold, but now my hands and feet get really cold and my head hurts.  It's probably just my own way of recuperating from surgery.
