Title: My TCD report from China Post by Insomnia on Aug 2nd, 2007 at 9:56am
I am from China, 25 years old, and I dunno if I have been suffering this disease or not, perhaps only further diagnosises could tell.
This is my TCD report,(transcranial Doppler ultrasonography ) in which shows some anomaly of blood moving speed in some vessel, esp in Siphon, which seemed highly related to MoyaMoya. If any one knows how to understand the data from the report, please send message to tell me. [smiley=laugh.gif] Thank you! (Velocities in CM/S) Left (2MHz Occipital) BA prox. VA (2MHz Orbital) Siphon (2MHz Temporal) MCA ACA PCA-P1 Right (2MHz Occipital) VA (2MHz Orbital) Siphon (2MHz Temporal) MCA ACA PCA-P1 Doppler spectral patterns are normal. Conclusion: 1, velocities in BA and RACA decreased. 2, Velocities in LCS(Siphon) and RMCA increased. |

Today, after a glimpse at the TCD report, the doctor told me that it is normal and it is impossible that I have the disease Moyamoya, unless I have some symptoms, such as limb spasm. And only insomnia, frequent dreaming, occasional fainting and easy fatigue can not verify anything related to Moyamoya.
The doctor also said that it is unnecessary to do further test, such as MRI or CT, let alone DSA. Therefore, it seems that I don't have Moyamoya at all. Yet insomnia and fatigue really trouble me. Whatever, I think I can say: "Good bye to this forum, God bless the folks who are suffering Moyamoya." |

Since you have had fainting episodes, might be a good idea to get a second opinion from a neurosurgeon who specializes in Moyamoya
