hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has had a cerebral fluid leak ? It has been 3 years since Chris had his surgry and no problems- tho this am he woke up with slight swelling at the site and we took him to the Er and that was there opion as to the swelling.
I am going to call Standford again but just wondered had it happen to anyone.

Debra,
Sorry to hear of the complications. No, I did not not have this issue. My surgery was 7 years ago. I do remember in the ICU I had a "drain" coming from my head to collect any fluids that might build up. Again, sorry to of Chris's situation and hope all is well.

My son is now 10months old he had surgery when he was 5 months. A month after surgery he had to get a VP shunt placed due excess fuild in the brain.
