My son is 1 years old and had pial synangiosis surgery done in FEb 2006 at 5 months old.   He suffered with hard to control seizures and also had a VP shunt placed in Mar 2006.   He has not been in the hospital since April until now.   We are in Childerns Hospital of Philadelphia because his belly was filling with fluid.   They are searching for anwsers and believe some of his abdominal vessels are also small.   I wanted to know if anyone has heard of this with moyamoya.  Please let me know ASAP.  Tyler remains in ICU.

I have heard of some people with Moyamoya having occlussions/narrowing in other arteries in the body.  My daughter had a coarctation of the aorta (narrowing of her aortic arch), as well as MM.

I don't know much more than that.  But I am very sorry that Tyler is in the ICU and things are so scary right now.   Daphne (our daughter) goes to CHOP, as well.  I hope you find some answers soon.  My thoughts are with you.
