Has anyone had heart complications because of MM or the meds you were on because of the MM. Just a question I have to see a cardiologist they dont think im having heart problems but I been having chest pains lately they thinking its my past throat problems but they want to be safe and I was wondering. Thankyou for your time ?

I've seen posts from others who have MMD along with  heart and vascular problems.  There may be a link since MMD is a vascular disease. I had atrial fibrilation and  2 catheter ablations to repair that. This was within 2 months of my cerebral bypass (EDAS).  Quite a year for me.

Brad,  I feel that mm does effect the heart. I had by-pass surgery in 2003 and one year later suffered a cardiac arrest. Had a defibrillator put in. Then a year later had a small heart attach.

I just visited the ER last week for chest pains actually and the first thng they looked at was my heart because I have moyamoya. I was told that because moyamoya is vascular it is possible to get it in the heart as well.

Before I was Dx with MM I had terrible chest pains.  I had echos and a treadmill test.  The pain went away in about a week.  I was then sent to the internist who Dx MM.  I also have abnormal vessels in my kidneys.  Lots of luck.                      Newt
 

Hmmm, Hi Brad, I had chest pain also, kind like sharp pain for couple days, I have stress test, echo, nuclear test, doc said my heart is strong and healthy :-/.  I also have chest pain last year I have to go to ER.  I wish some doctor study about this disease so I can be able separate my pain to difference catgory.   :D
