Does anyone know if there is any connection between MM and a lowered immune system?  I was just hospitalized for a week with pneumonia.  They tried 3 different antibiotics and concluded it must be viral.  I've been sick for almost 3 weeks now and don't seem to be getting any better.  Sometimes I feel a little better and sometimes worse.  My WBC count is up, then down, then back up.  Having some issues with my oxygen saturation as well.  I was wondering if anyone knows if we are more succepatable to this kind of stuff or if it's just my crappy luck.

    I had real problems with O2 sats after my first STA-MCA bypass in March of 2006.  I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure.  I was fluid overloaded.  The second bypass went much better when Dr. Steinberg knew what to do.  I haven't had problems with breathing since.  I had a flu shot last year and that seemed to help with colds and the flu.  I hope you stay well from now on! ;)
