hi every one we are here and it is a beautiful place here. we have been getting settled in and we  have been at the hospital in between getting the tests done. busy busy. and we are jet lag all the way from va. to cali. it was a very long flight. we have a nice place to stay. we thank god.
just gettin our self prepared for  the surgeries.
we just wanted to say hello to all and thanks for all the info and we will keep you updated.

I am so sorry my brother and I didn't call you before you left for CA.  I didn't know you were leaving so soon and was planning on calling you tonight.  I would have called if I had known.  I'm glad that you and Chinaya made it to CA ok.  It is beautiful there, isn't it?!?!?!

If you give us your cell phone number through a PM, my brother and I will call when we can.  He has to work late tomorrow night, but maybe I will just give you a call then for now.

Glad to hear you have arrived and you have a nice place to stay.

It is a beautiful place.  There are terraces on each floor with beautiful flower gardens.  I spent a lot of time on those peaceful and beautiful terraces just soaking up the sun and losing myself in thought.

I can relate to the long flight as we flew from Ohio to California.  Hope you get to rest.

Stay positive, keep the faith and know that the MM team will take very good care of you.  My brother really likes JoAnn the doppler lady.  When you see her tell her Kevin and Lore from Ohio said Hi.

You and Chinaya take care and if you get the opportunity, let us know your progress.

Good to hear you've arrived safe and sound. The Stanford campus is beautiful and a lovely place for walks. I'm sure you'll be meeting some of the others having surgery this week. It helps to meet others traveling the same path and especially helpful to meet with those who've had the surgery and are returning for their checkups. It's amazing to see how well and how quickly they've recovered and reasuring to know that you'll be doing as well so soon. Best wishes and prayers coming your way,

Good Luck with your surgeries.  You will be fine.  Dr. Steinberg and the Stanford Team are amazing and will take excellent care of you.  We are back in NY from my husbands two surgeries June 25/July 2.  Everything went well and my husbands recovery has been great, slight headache and just tired.  The incision from his first surgery is barely visible at 3 weeks and his other side is healing nicely.  Everyone at home is amazed at his recovery.  I'm sure your recovery will go just as well.

Enjoy the beautiful weather  and gardens in California.  Please keep us posted when you can.

Hi Butch - this is Laura, mom of Katie who had her first surgery on tuesday. There are 3-4 moyamoya patients on the surgery ward right now, all recovering from their first surgeries. Have heart, be strong, and know that you are in the best place with the best care possible for this!  Good luck!
