Hi Chinaya,
Hope all is well with you and your hubby. ;;D From what I can remember, after surgery, I had a minor bruise, and experienced some pain after surgery. Just like Emily, I remember having to practice walking again. I had a physical therapist visit me everyday at the hospital to gradually increase my ability to walk further distances/practice going up and down stairs, etc. I used a walker to help me keep my balance. This took about a week or so--right before I was released from the hospital. Being that I flew out of state for my surgery, I stayed for an additional week at a hotel to recover and had my staples removed before returning home. Anyway, I'm sure your being there is making all the difference in the world with his healing process. ;) Being that he had surgeries on both sides, he may have a longer recovery than those of us who had surgeries on one side. How long was his 2nd surgery? My double by-pass and EDAS was about 6 hrs. I also remember having an MRI after my surgery and EEG test when I returned to Hawaii as well, so he tests may be ordered for him. Nonetheless, he is in great care, and I believe he made the right decision to have the surgery! I will continue to keep you both in my prayers. [smiley=hug.gif] Take care, Shan |
