Title: does anyone still have tia's after surgery Post by mlgohsman on Oct 26th, 2008 at 11:18am
Well when i was still in the hospital, just after they pulled my ventric ( the tube thingy draning my csf) i was sitting in the chair and all the sudeen i couldnt make a full smile, just my left sdie would smile, i didnt really any numbness or tingling, and the stupid nurse decided to sit out side my room and a convo with anthor nurse, while this is going, i knew to page the nurse and i could stick out my toungue to both side, i would raise my arms, i wonder if it was tia, i did talk to the doctor but since the nurse was not there they couldnt check me, and have more results on what it was, i was super mad, when your in the icu and you page the nurse, they should not sit outside and talk to someone, they should put that convo on hold and come see you, right? ... andways once i got to the floor i had a roomate, i felt so bad for her she couldnt move, i dont nkow what she had, i heard something about cancer, but i try to listen, anyways she couldnt move her fingers or arms or feet, and whenever she tried to page the nurse she couldnt, so she would ask me to, and always i said i am sorry i am sorry to bother you, it didnt it felt nice to be able to help her, becauase i could be that bad after all the brin bleed and strokes tia's and surgeries, i am so very blessed, when i had my massive headache, i askde god if it was headache i needed to go to the er for, and he let me know, right when i asked, i was super scared, anyways i am getting off subject like i always to do. my roomate i would walk over to her, and see if she wanted her chanel changed, and she if she needed anything, i was a better nurse to her than the ones that get paid for it, this time, half the nurses had no manners at all, i was upset with most of them. I remember my first few days i was in so much pain, i could constantly cry and i couldnt have much for pain, because i was to check out nero wise, and they would give me attitude, but the docs where GREAT!!! he said, he was sorry that i went thoguh this, and he wish it would have shwoed on my scans from 3 weeks before, and he is going to make sure i get more test more often, i love him, i am so happy with him :) anyways, so does anyone get tia's? is that common in mm even with surgery

Glad you are back!!
I said a prayer for you as well. My daughter molly had a Tia in 07, 1 year post surgery, left side paralysis and face droop. She had another one a week ago Friday we do not know why or if it is the norm. this time her right leg went out on her completely numb. We are having an MRA on Wednesday. our pcp said it was not a Tia ,he didn't feel he said it was cerebral arterial spasm! I told him i never heard of that he said MM Dr should have told me about it?? Has anyone else heard of this? when i searched it it actually sounds much worse than a TIA. I think he meant like a charlie horse in the vessel. Another example of Dr's not knowing what they are talking about!! |
