Title: Getting my son checked for moyamoya the 1st Post by mlgohsman on Nov 17th, 2008 at 6:44pm
Since cayden has had a stroke and stuff, the docs finally agree he is old enough to get a mra/mri. He is getting the test Dec 1st at 720 pm, Please pray for him, that he doesn't have it, i think my having this is enough and don't know what to do if cayden had it, it could be way to stressful, dealing what we already do deal with with him and me, and to add mm on him, thanks everyone

I will pray for you and cayden! I can't understand what you are going thrugh since I don't have Kids(yet). My husband and I are thinking of having kids and that is one of my top worries. There are many on this site that have MM and thier kids have mm too. All I can say is think positive... If cayden dose have mm at least you know a doctor/surgen that can help you. I will pray that cayden not to have mm.
Keep us posted on the results of the test. Becky |

Michelle,
I am so sorry to her this news. I haven't been on here much the last week or so. I am sorry I didn't see this post and respond sooner. I will certainly pray for Cayden, as well as the rest of your family, (he looks like such a sweetie!) I thought I saw someone on here who's baby had surgery, so I don't understand waiting until he is "old enough". If I had a small child that I was worried had MM, I think I would send the MRI to that doctor in Boston that specializes in children. (Despite anything your local doctor might say). You have been thru so much recently. I was in such a state of despair a couple of months ago, and with hope and prayers, things are turning around for me. I know they will for you too! You are a strong woman. You have the education and experience with this that gives you an advantage. You also know your child better than anyone else in the world. I know that you have been a strong advocate for your child, and you will continue to do so. You are a devoted, wonderful mother. I will be thinking of you both! Love and Prayers, the "other" Michele |
