Title: My ct angio results
Post by mlgohsman on Dec 18th, 2008 at 9:40pm
Okay, my neuro said, it looked good,no aneurysms. I asked about my right side, cause I've been getting numbness in my left hand, and that's how it started in my right hand, and before it was 30% blocked so i am kinda worried, so he looked again at it, and said it was a little narrow, he is having the surgeon a meeting and see what he says, but it looked pretty good otherwise. I  talked about my headaches, we are upping some of my bp meds cause they can work as a prevention for headaches, besides my bp was a little high, so it wont hurt :) I also, have RLS, ( restless leg syndrome) it really bites. I got some more new meds for my headache to help relieve them. I have to see a neuro eye doc, because i get black spots in my vision when I'm outside, and for my double vision, and hum,, i think that's it, so it went pretty good, hopefully the surgeon, has good things to say and oh yeah they want to switch my depression med, cause it can help my headaches, and put me on another seizure med but i have to wait til i get my lab results back now that's all :)

I am very happy to hear things went pretty good.  I hope I finally got my computer problems taken care of!  How is Cayden???  I did get to look at a bunch of your pics and Caydens video (again)- what a sweetheart!  I hope things keep looking up for you!  I would say to monitor your BP very closely!  WHen my nuero and my FP couldn't decide if it should be cut in half, or doubled (each had the opposite recommendation)  Nuero said we had dropped it too low and FP said it was still too high.
I just started a BP log and kept track of what it was (the BP) and if I was having any symptom, what they were, etc.  or symptoms at all.  After about 2 weeks I could definitely tell where my BP needs to be to minimize symptoms.  There are days I don't take a pill and days I take 2!  Both Dr.s agreed I need to manage my medication according to symptoms relative to my BP, but I don't think they imagined it would be that drastic.  If I take the meds when the BP is not high, I almost pass out.  And definitely have stroke like symptoms, slurred speech, cognitive impairment, numbness of limbs, etc.  Well, I only had to do THAT once!  LOL  Too high is also not good, but I think we must each have our own optimal BP for our unique medical situations!
GIve the kids a big hug for me!  I hope Santa is good to you this year!
God Bless You ALL!
Michele
