Ok just a question are you awake during surgery letter i got said he was doing both the direct and indirect surgery and i think this is the only question i didnt ask thanks for any help

Darci,
You are asleep during surgery. I was asleep for 7 to 8 hours from start to finish but that wasn't how long the surgery took. Hope this helps. Reagan |

DARCI, I had indirect surgery and was asleep for 8 hours total.

Darci,
I had the STA-MCA and EMS (indirect bypass -> muscle (and it's bloody supply) is laid down on the surface of the brain and left to grow). I was asleep for 9 hours total because there was a minor complication to my STA-MCA. The vein they wanted to use they couldn't so they had to shave more to get one from my forhead. I hope this helps.
