Ugh....   im patiently waiting to hear back from doctor Steinberg's office.  I mailed disc copies of all my tests to see what his opinon is. I know they got them yesterday so I HOPE I hear something today.  I know he is very busy.  So I am understanding in that aspect.  I really hope he can help me.  I feel like such crap, that I dont know how much longer I can feel like this.
How long has it taken any of you to hear back?  Just curious.

The way I think it works is… Dr. Steinberg has a certain day that he reviews films. If I’m not mistaken, I think it’s Mondays’ that he does his formal case conference reviews with his team, but I’m not sure. Plus, most likely he would have many other cases to review as well, along with his patient care, surgeries, emergencies, etc. If your films didn’t arrive and ready for review, you may have to wait until his next review with his team, but you will hear from them in a timely fashion.

I think that the prepartion of the cases to be reviewed during the Monday afternoon conference is done on Sunday. So, if the films arrived on Monday, it may be as Mar said and you'll have to wait another week - but maybe yours were reviewed. Give them a call and find out for sure. They understand how difficult and stressful  the "not knowing" can be for patients.

I think it all just depends on the timing. Mine were reviewed within a week of receiving them. I know he has specific days he does specific things. For instance clinic days that I see him have always been on Mondays. My surgery was scheduled on Tuesday. As well as I know there was another little girl that had her surgery today by him. I'm not sure what other days he does surgery or has clinic. However I know when I have gone up there for testing on a different day, it didn't happen to be a clinic day. They are pretty timely. Teresa usually does call in the evenings. She has even emailed me over the weekends when I have had questions. Their care is outstanding and I am grateful for it. I am sure other places of excellent care but Stanford has been the only place I have experienced for Moyamoya.
