Title: Anniversary Post by Bev on Aug 10th, 2009 at 7:59am
Today is the 7th anniversary of my second haemorrahage. It is one of the few moments of time I can remember with ease. The severe vomiting, headaches, calling out the doctor being told you're ok probable stomach bug but if no change go to docs on Monday. On Monday telling my husband I'm OK and he can go to work, going to docs told suspected meningitis and an ambulance would be sent to my home address. My Mother in Law being late picking me up from the docs so I started to walk home its over a mile away, didn't want the ambulance to leave with out me, telling my husband what the docs had said but not to worry and finding him at the hospital when I got there, which was nice, a CAT scan confirming a bleed :( having to move hospital for more specialist service after that it gets a bit hazy as I started to sleep a lot. Now seven years later and I'm happy and healthy with a happy and healthy son as though it never happened just a very poor short term memory. Always strikes me as strange some of the things you remember with ease and other times you swear black is white because you are convinced that what someone is telling you happened is wrong! Its a Great day for celebration!

It does. I think my mum is the same as you as she can recall the circumstances of my first haemorrhage in 1980 and what the doctors told her as clear as day for it to be repeated in 2002 having had no problems in between.

I hope so too. When I had the first haemorrhage in 1980 when I was 11 a quick recovery and I carried on as usual. I have done the same after the second bleed. I have been lucky in that respect and am very grateful. Life changing only due to the birth of my son the following January. Still at the same company and due to organisational changes am back working on the projects I was working on 7 years ago so I feel a little stuck in a time warp but hopefully that is all that will be repeated. :)
