Hi everyone -
My 8 yr old son has cerebral palsy as well as moyamoya. He had the surgery back in Nov. and the last mri showed he had some new blood vessels forming. However, due to his cp, a neurosurgeon thought he could benefit from having a baclofen pump put in to help his spasticity - but - you can not have an mri while having a baclofen pump inside you. Is there any other test that can show how well the blood vessels are doing in the brain besides an mri?

Linda,
I don't know if he could have an Angiogram or not. The Angiogram is a tube that goes through your femeral(sp?) artery by your groin and then Dye is injected and it lights up your veines. I would talk to a neurologest I am sure they have a way if he can't have an angiogram.
