Title: Sight deterioration Post by dj83 on Aug 26th, 2009 at 8:07am
HI All,
I just like to know if anyone has gone through sight deterioration after the surgery? Are MM survivors allowed to go back into competitive sports? It has been 10 months since my bypass on the right. Dr Stoodley thinks I might be needing the surgery on my left sometime in the future :-[. Just did my angiogram yesterday and would be seeing Dr Stoodley in 2 weeks, we would decide then. |

dj83,
I had a direct and indirect bypass leaving me with a perminate softspot on the side of my head. My neurologest only said to stay away from contact sports like football fo example. He also didn't recomend but he is not banning baseball or scoccer. I would ask your neurologest what sport restrictions you have. As for the sight issue: I didn't have any. Good luck with your test. Just think positive about it... if you don't need surgery Super Happy, but if you do then Happy they caught it early so you don't have to have a stroke to have surgery!! Becky |

Hi dj83,
I had to see an nuero-optimaligist. I was having problems seeing. She said I had floaters. I saw "black lace" which blocked my vision. Natural tears, ookin up and down about three times, and rest were supposed to help. It did for a while. I am having issues now with what looks like lighting. They inreased my seizure pills from 3 to 4. Rest and calmness are the only things that seem to help. Just remeber God has the final say so, and I am sure He has some great doctors that will help. Peace, Twyla |
