Has anyone had a problem with hair loss after their surgery?  My daugter says lots of hair comes out when she shampoos.  she doesn't know if it's stress related or surgery related...or both!  Just wondered if this is normal and is there anything you've tried to help the situation?

My daughter is 14 (13 when she had her surgery) and I noticed the same thing when she brushes her hair.  I didn't even think it could have anything to do w/the surgery.  That's interesting!!!!

I had the same problem and my hair dresser told me that this is common and is caused by the anesthesia.  He said that it sometimes will take a couple of years before it gets better and for others it never does.  Something in the anesthesia makes your hair thin out.  Just happens for some and not others.

Thanks for letting us know.  It's been over a year now so, hopefully, it will work itself out.  She has thick hair so it's all good!
