Title: 5 Year Surgery Anniversary Post by Seachelles on Nov 10th, 2009 at 12:52pm
Today marks my 5 year anniversary since I had my first direct bypass surgery. It's truly hard to believe and such a milestone. I give my thanks to DJ for developing this website for those that have been diagnosed and their families. It was a truly a lifesaver for me! I also give thanks to all of you that gave me advice over the last 5 years. You all are truly remarkable people and it's nice to know I have a family here. I also thank Dr. Steinburg and his neurosurgery team at Stanford for saving my life and giving me a whole new chance at life. I am TRULY blessed. May God bless all of you here.

Congratulations!!
I am so happy to hear you are doing well. Matthew is officially 10 years post surgery (as of Sept. 7th). It is a great feeling, isn't it! I, too, am grateful for this website. When Matthew was first diagnosed, this didn't exist. Trust me, I looked!! But it is nice to connect with people who understand where we have been, where we are, and where we are going!! Kim |

Congratulations on your five years. I felt the same way when I celebrated my six years. I would be lost without this site and the friends I have made.
God Bless, Sharo |

Congratulations Michelle on reaching your 5 year anniversary. [smiley=shore.gif]
How time flies! I can't believe it has been 4 years since we first met at Stanford. You looked marvelous when I saw you last year. [smiley=thumb.gif] You are hope and inspiration to all MMers. Keep up the good work my friend and here's to many, many more anniversaries. [smiley=me&mb.gif] Hugs, [smiley=heart.gif] Lore |

Lore,
It's so good to hear from you. I miss everyone so much. I've been really bad about getting on the boards, but plan on making it something I do at least twice a week now. How is Kevin doing? Shane and I think about him and you often. We were truly blessed to have met you two. Hugs to both of you, Michelle |
