In 2006 my Michael had his bypass surgery with Dr. Steinberg. Since then he has been fine. Recently he has been complaining of a slight tension in the back of the head and a floating feeling. Can anyone shed some insight on this feeling? Thank you

Hi MJRNY2 and welcome to the MM family.

My brother has had the "floating feeling" and it appeared his blood pressure was the cause. However, the "floating feeling" can be a number of things and may not be the same for two different people.

Is Michael having any other symptoms such as numbness and/or tingling, blurred vision, confusion, loss of movement?

The "floating feeling" is associated with dizziness and there can be a number of reasons for dizziness or balance type symptoms like ear, nose and throat problems, blood pressure and neurological and cardiovascular problems.

My suggestion is for Michael to consult his doctor for evaluation of the "floating feeling" and the "slight tension" and especially with having MM and also if Michael is experiencing any other symptoms.
