I'm trying to budget for 2010. When told at the six month checkup that the next is in three years, is that three years from the surgery date or three years from the six month checkup date? I'm hoping it's the later as I'd really like to have a year without medical bills.

I just had my 6mth checkup and i was told that i would have my next ct scan 1 yr from my checkup so next november unless i had other issues so it should be 3yrs from your checkup or thats what Dr Steinburg told me hope this helps!!

Hi Kim -

Kate had her 3yr check-up 3 years after her 6 month check-up; in other words, 3 1/2 years after her surgery.

Thank you, Darci and Cass. You've made my day! 2010 will be free of major medical bills. I'm free until May 2011. Plenty of time to put some savings away.
