Title: For the women, pains during menstruation Post by Lilian on Mar 28th, 2010 at 2:20pm
I wonder if there are more among us who suffer severe pains during their periods.
I have terrible pains and feel nauseous for the first 2-3 days. I can't take any pain killers because they just make things worse. Does anyone know what I can do about this. Is it wise to see a doctor about this matter? |

I get severe cramps (sometimes + nausea). I take Aleve...that really helps me. Not sure what a doc can do except tell you to take pain killers. I've asked my doc at my regular checkups...

my daughter has terrible menstrual periods. She tried to get the uterine ablation but the Neurologist said no, so she just had a IUD put in so hopefully her periods will get better! She was actually taking vicodin for the pain because ibuprofen didn't work.

Have you tried Aleve? It's actually a muscle relaxer and it works wonders for me (careful, may make you sleepy).
