I know I have seen it posted before, but why is it again that it is so important that we stayed hydrated? I mean other than the obvious, why the need for constant hydration when having MM?

Also, I read (wikipedia i think) that MM is hereditary. Has this been discovered?

Praise report:  roughly 1 year and 4 months post op since my 2nd surgery and other than the ticks I have developed (pls someone share if they have experienced the same) I am doing great - Praise God!! I'm living life as normal as I know how and am blessed everyday that I get to get up and get go to work and support my family.

My understanding is the hydration is important to keep fluid levels up, maintain blood flow thereby avoiding symptoms...

re: tics--my daughter has tics post surgery......she's leg, arm movements--sometimes constant........sometimes tremor-like--sometimes keep her awake at night....she also has had little vocal tics in the past but they are gone.......

How would you describe your movements?

its hard to describe. I can feel them coming on, but I cant do anything to stop them. its mainly i have to shake my head sort of thing. and sometimes my left arm (which is the side my stroke affected me) wants to pull up or in.  I guess I should have said moreover that they started after my stroke.  And havent gotten better post surgery, not that I figured it would or anything. I was told nothing to worry about, but I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced the same sorts of things.  Thanks for sharing.

hi...  I also have tics.  In my legs and sometimes arms. They arent really noticable as far as how it looks. But i feel them everyday...  surgery didnt help them. But i can live with it as long as my brain is get the blood flow it needs!
