Hello,

I'm curious to know if anyone has experienced arm pain or leg pain associated with Moyamoya disease.  I know that leg and/or arm weakness is common but I'm not sure about pain in the limb.

Well, I was diagnosed some time ago with meralgia paresthetica, which causes pain in the thighs. No one ever told me it was related to MM, and now I'm not so sure I was diagnosed correctly. I think my leg pain may have been caused by stenosis in my spine, which they tell me I also have.

I had leg pain in both legs and had tests done. I fould that I have PAD. It has nothing to do with mm but the heart and blood flow to the legs. Had a stent put in left leg and feel great. No more pain.

my daughter had her surgeries almost 2 years ago and have had left shoulder and left leg pain ever since. She is on pain meds. They can't figure it out....

Thanks to everyone for posting a note on this.  My son has left shoulder pain and leg pains but has not been diagnosed with Moyamoya yet.  We have an appointment with the neurologist on Tuesday to talk about all his symptoms which are similar to my daughter's who had surgery for MMD in March.  His shoulder pain and periodic leg pain comes and goes without reason.  He has Down Syndrome and doesn't talk very much so it is very difficult to get the whole story.
