Hi - I believe I saw a thread before on travel tips to Stanford area - lodging, etc. Can someone direct me to it please. Thank you!

There is an option for what is called the H.O.M.E. apartments. Check with the hospital about them. I am staying here now and if you can manage to get here then do it. It is a fully furnished one bedroom apartment that really does feel like home. It is two blocks from the hospital and there is a little shuttle that will take you back and forth if you want. Also, there is a free Stanford bus that will take you all over the place if you want. You will not need a car. Let me know if you need any more information.

Oh, I meant to add that the H.O.M.E. apartments are priced on a sliding scale based on your income. I don't make a lot of money so for me it was beyond reasonable.
