Well, this is all happening so fast! Got email from Dr. Scott in Boston today telling us he can schedule surgery this Monday. We will be leaving for Boston this Thursday, Christopher will have a ct angiogram on Friday and surgery scheduled for 7:30 am Monday.

Dr. Scott said Christopher's case is pretty severe, He has severe narrowing of the blood vessels throughout his brain and will require surgery on both sides.

I am nervous and scared. Please keep my son in your prayers, I would really appreciate it.

Christopher will deffintily get an extra prayer from me! He is luck to have such a great mom who is staying so stong. Please keep us posted on his pregress.

Dr. Scott and Dr. Smith are AMAZING, you guys are in the best hands possible!! My son had his surgery there in June last year. We are getting ready for our 1 year post op visit! Malachi has had no furthur strokes since surgery! We LOVE CHB. Can't wait to hear how surgery goes!!!

Thanks guys. had a bit of a problem with insurance today. Christopher has insurance under my husband and also medical assistance from the state. So far, we got 1 approval for the surgery, waiting on the rest, talk about last minute!

I will not be meeting Dr. Scott till right before surgery, he will be away in Nebraska on Friday. I am hoping to meet with Dr. Smith for a little while on Friday.

Just made reservations to stay at the Yawkey Family Inn. And I will be making train reservations tomorrow. So much to do!!!

Karen, you are doing the right thing for sure! They are so wonderful there. You will love Dr. Smith! Christopher will be in good hands! I hope the rest of your insurance stuff gets figured out quickly. You will absolutely be a nervous wreck, I am pretty sure all of us parents are during any kind of surgery on our kids. From stories I have heard, we need to be very thankful that they can do surgery. Try to stay calm, before you know it, he will be ready to start the next school year!
