Title: Allergy relief Post by JSKL on May 29th, 2011 at 1:34am
Any suggestions for seasonal allergies? Completely miserable with extreme itchy eyes/throat & nasal congestion....
Is it true I need to avoid antihistamine medications? Looking to take something for relief so I can function!! Many thanks- |

the only allergy meds I give my daughter are claratin and sometimes benedryl. Check with your docs.

My doctor perscribed me benedryl for my uncontrollable arm movements. But I would ask your doctor because everyone is very different with mmd, and in general.

Destin was told to avoid antihistamines. She also takes Claritin. When she gets a cold it really hard because there isn't mch she can take. I need to ask about Benadryl tje next time she sees her doctor.

I just wanted to offer that DR. Scott told me to never give molly benadryl because it is a vasoconstrictor and he told me she should never have epinephrine only in a life or death situation because eppi could kill her just a few thoughts hope it helps, charl

We were told to avoid decongestants (like sudafed, and many/most cold meds) because they're vasoconstrictors.
The best idea is to see an allergist and explain you have to avoid anything that is a vasoconstrictor. Hope that helps!! Kristen |
