Christopher now needs plastic surgery! After having his left side incision opened again because of infection, cleaned out and re sutured...it still didn't work! Today

Saw his pediatrician today and spoke to Dr. Smith in Boston and both have said he needs skin grafted on here to close the opening. This better be the solution that works, we do not want to be on the news for hurting anybody! lol

My husband and I just are so frustrated and feel so bad for Chris that he has had to go through all he did and he still is not finished!

Oh Karen I'm so sorry... Sometimes don't you just want to say enough is enough. Now one more thing to deal with and one more specialist. Kathleen has a list of specialists that is ever growing yet she still smiles at everyone of them. I pray that this is the answer and will uncomplicated and a fast recovery. Will he have the surgery locally? Please keep us posted.

Karen, I'm so sorry for you and for Christopher.  One surgery is hard enough, I can't imagine plastic surgery on top of everything your family has been through.  I will definately keep Christopher and your family in our prayers.  By the way I totally understand you wanting to hurt someone.  Stay strong.

This will be Christopher's 3rd surgery. He actually has a small hole in the left side of his head where his incision is. The last surgery he had DID NOT fix it, we had it done at CHOP because it was an emergency. So, back to Boston we go.
I want to thank you and your husband again for helping us. Now I know how you came across Christopher's site.
