Just wondering whether anyone with Moyamoya (diagnosed before or after pregnancy) suffered with pre-eclampsia during/after pregnancy?
Also did any mothers suffer from pre-eclampsia during/after pregnancy with a child/children who has since been diagnosed with Moyamoya?
Has anyone been warned of a connection between these conditions?

I had pre-eclampsia with my daughter she was born at 30 weeks weighed 2lb 4oz  and lost down to the size of a 26 weaker...  she was very sick as a premiee..  she had a stroke in dec. 2010 at 15 y old  and was diagnosed with moyamoya at that time.  was never told there was a link so no clue on that issues.  but i did have pre-eclampsia with both my daughters.   my younget will have a mri on the 20th of oct. waiting to get it done and find out results. 

I had pre-eclampsia with my first son 21 years ago in 1990...He was born at 31 weeks weighing 2 lbs. 13 oz....He has not been diagnosed with Moyamoya....I was diagnosed with Moyamoya October 2008.....Never knew anything about a link....Very curious..Please elaborate...

My daughter has moyamoya and is 33 weeks pregnant. I had pre-eclampsia with her and her older sister. I knew there was an increased risk due to genetics of developing pre-eclampsia but wondered whether having had strokes and moyamoya further increased her risk and went looking on the internet.

It is a long article but in section 7. Risks of strokes later in life - it says that both the mother and child may be at higher risk of stroke and neurological problems later in life. It raises many questions I would like to ask her neurologist.

Just thought I would ask to see if any other people on this site had pre-eclampsia in their histories. Maybe there is a link, maybe not.
