I had a STA-MCA bypass in August with no problem. The second one done in December has been a bear. I was rehospitalized in January with a staph infection and for wound care as the incision was not healing. After returning home with in home nurse care and a picc line the incision opened even more and exposed skull. I returned to the hospital again where they removed the exposed skull and reclosed the incision. I am again at home with a picc line and in home nurse care. I have had the majority of the stitches and staples removed except the area over the area where the skull was removed. It continues to not heal correctly, I now have increased pain, more headaches and vision issues. Has anyone else had problems like this following their bypass?
