Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share fantastic news! My son Christopher had his 6 month post op MRI/MRA (though it was done late). He saw the neurologist today and preliminary results are new blood vessels have grown! They also do not see any new strokes or tia"s!

We are so happy and relieved, feels like a huge weight has been lifted!

In June, we will be off to Boston to see his surgeons an have his cerebral angiogram done which will hopefully confirm the results we received today! :D

That is awesome news! I know how you feel. Destin had the same surgery. The wait and see was awful...such a relief when those results show new growth. Now take a deep breath and relax :-)

Karen I'm so happy to hear that good news! I remember eharing those words myslef and feeling like I could finally breath a bit. Thankyou for sharing that with us! It's always nice to hear great news like that.

Thank you everyone! We are so happy! Now, the final confirmation will be when we go to Boston to see the neurosurgeons who performed the surgery and for he cerebral angiogram in June......then only yearly checkups! YAY!

great news Karen. We are despartly waiting to hear the same for our son's surgery. He had a CSF leak complication though that we are dealing with right now..

That is great news!!!!!!!! I had a appointment a year ago and they said the same thing. My last surgery was 1 1/2 years ago and there are days I forget that I have MoyaMoya. I also have been without strokes or TIA's for over 2 years.

Thank you all for your well wishes. We have an appt for August 13 in Boston to have Christopher's cerebral angiogram done for his 1 yr anniversary of surgery.

Right now we are still waiting for approval by isurance since we live in Philadelphia, PA.
