Our poor 8 year old can't catch a  break.  He had bypass on both sides last year in May.  At his 1 year check up he was given the green light to resume normal activities.  He missed a lot of school last year so we were looking forward to fixing that this year.  Well, he had to have his appendix removed on Thursday.  so he's only made one day of school so far.  The surgeons and anesthesiologists were really good about learning what MM was and listening to our concerns.  He's fine now.  Whew.... ;D

Wow so sorry to hear this but glad he's doing OK now. Hopefully he'll be healthy and back to school soon. it's wonderful that you had a good surgical team that educated themselves on moyamoya.
